What do you need to grow cannabis?

Obviously, you need cannabis seeds, but first consider whether you want to grow cannabis indoors or outdoors. When growing outdoors, you are dependent on the season, but when growing indoors you can grow all year round with the right growing materials. Secondly, you need soil or another cultivation material and pots to put the plants in. Plagron's topgrow box contains the nutrients you need for your plants. When it is time to harvest your weed, you need cutting tools and possibly latex gloves so that the resin does not stick to your fingers. Finally, you put the cannabis in a storage container with a humidity regulator.

Germinating cannabis seeds

You can germinate cannabis seeds in different ways. Plagron's Seedbox contains everything you need and ensures a stable environment during the germination phase. The box contains a Green Growing Tray with a transparent lid for light, 12 germination plugs to germinate the seeds in (including soil) and 250 ml of Seed Booster. 

Soil and Pots 

The choice of soil and the size of the pots influence the growth of the cannabis plants. Young plants, seedlings and sprouts do not need much nutrition yet and thrive well in sow and cutting soil. This type of soil only contains nutrients for the first few weeks. After that, you can add nutrition, repot your plant in a pot with richer soil or plant in full soil. This soil is available in every garden centre. The pH test kit is useful for testing the pH value of your soil, water and nutrient solution.

The Right Pots for your Cannabis Plants

The Flexa Pot is a flexible pot that provides good aeration for the roots and prevents them from overheating. These pots can be washed and are suitable for various growing mediums. They are available in 11, 19 and 26 litres. When you put your plants in a large pot, they will grow bigger. Make sure, you do not water your plant too much. This will cause the roots to rot. When the soil feels moist, they have enough water.

Nutrition for Cannabis Plants

Cannabis plants do not only need water but also nutrition. The Plagron Top Grow Box Terra contains enough nutrition for 1 square metre. This could be 5 large or 30 smaller plants. Harvesting Cannabis Plants

How do you determine when the right moment has come to harvest your cannabis plant? With a microscope, you can see the THC crystals and trichromes. When the trichromes are cloudy in colour, the amount of THC in your cannabis is at its peak. Then it's time to cut the buds with bud trimming scissors. Cut off the branches and hang them up in a drying room. You can also use a drying rack to dry your freshly cut cannabis plants.

Storage of Cannabis

Storing and curing cannabis is actually just as important as growing it. Make sure your storage container or jar is airtight. A glass jar works well, but if you want to store your weed discreetly use a CVault storage container. Also put a humidity regulator with your weed to keep the humidity level in balance.
