Maple Leaf Indica Seeds - Sensi Seeds

This fat, sticky hash-producing plant is still a relatively new seed, but has long been appreciated for its sparkling layer of resin glands and syrupy sweet citrus bouquet. Maple Leaf Indica is bred from a precious, excellent Afghanica gene family - parent plants that have already formed a number of other important Sensi Seed crosses and are one of the surviving strains behind the original Mazar-i-Sharif hashish.

Maple Leaf Indica's direct ancestors were brought outside Afghanistan just before the Soviet invasion, and older smokers who were lucky enough to have visited the area during the peaceful era will recognize a taste of the past in this variety. The first western references to the Maple Leaf parent strain describe both the plants and the hashish produced from them as the best there is.

Even by the high standards of the area, Mazar-i-Sharif is a famous center of cannabis and hashish culture, and its reputation was even more awesome before the 1980s. It is located just inside the northern border of Afghanistan and the city's proximity to the former USSR was the reason it was one of the first areas to be affected by the invasion. This threat was perhaps the only reason that the traditional growers of the Maple Leaf parent strain allowed the strain to leave their possession. The collector who received the original seeds made it a personal mission to preserve this unique Indica.

Maple Leaf represents one of the best Afghanica varieties ever found outside the area, and has been backcrossed to express the purity of its ancestors. This strain quickly and easily produces solid buds that drip with sugary orange grapefruit flavors. While Maple Leaf Indica doesn't produce the highest yield of any Afghani in the Sensi range, it does have the best resin production and has always been one of our personal favorites.
