What are Autoflower Seeds

An autoflowering cannabis plant automatically blossoms. With normal cannabis seeds the plant will only start flowering as soon as the days become shorter and the number of hours of light per day is reduced. Autoflower seeds are very suitable for the outdoor growing season in the Netherlands and Belgium. Because of the short summers, you can harvest multiple times with autoflowers in one season. Autoflower are best grown with 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness.

Can You Use an Autoflower as a Mother Plant?

No. Autoflower strains cannot be used as mother plants. It is possible to take cuttings from an autoflower plant, but there's really no point. As soon as the cuttings take root, they will form buds. The cuttings will not grow much bigger than 15cm. So it's not a good idea to take cuttings from autoflowers, unless you like a cannabis plant as a bonsai tree.
