Haze Weed

Haze, Skunk and Kush are mostly the weed strains that are crossed. Haze originated in Santa Cruz, California. Two growers, also called the "Haze Brothers" had focused on the breeding and crossing of Sativa-dominant cannabis strains. In the beginning, this strain was not as popular as it is now. This is because this Haze was difficult to grow with a flowering time of 16 weeks. In addition, this sativa strain had various phenotypes. Fortunately, there are now also easy to grow Haze plants.

What kind of Weed is Haze?

Haze is created by a complex cross between different Sativa strains. Her taste and smell is characteristic among the blowers. Over the years, Haze has been bred and improved versions have emerged. The original Haze plant is a tall cannabis plant with a long flowering time, sometimes twice that of Indica plants. The buds of a Haze plant are, like most pure Sativa plants, long and thin with large gaps between them. Although Sativa plants need a longer flowering time, you will be richly rewarded for your patience during harvest. She has a nice structure, so the plant profits optimally from the light. These can become huge cannabis plants of 2 to 3 metres, especially when grown outdoors with lots of sunshine. Keep this in mind when growing Sativa cannabis plants.

What is the Best Haze?

Haze has become very popular and has been crossed with many other strains. In the coffeeshop you often see Amnesia Haze. This strain is easy to grow but is susceptible to moulds. The weed is very powerful and has a long-lasting and relaxing effect. Silver Haze has a short flowering time and produces compact buds with a beautiful silver glow. This plant produces a high yield with a considerable THC content. Purple Haze performs well in colder climates. At the end of her flowering period, when the nights get colder, this plant will have beautiful purple colours. Finally, there is Lemon Haze. It gets its name from its fresh lemon smell and taste. This is also a beautiful plant with orange tones and her buds have a high THC content. Everyone has a different preference, so it's hard to say which Haze is best.

David Paul Watson, also known as the Skunk man, has brought the cannabis strain to Amsterdam. Often the strains are crossed with Indica genetics so they are no longer pure Sativas. The advantage is that these weed varieties have a shorter flowering time, which makes it possible to grow Haze varieties outdoors in the Netherlands or Belgium.
