Guidelines for Drinking Water:

• 0 - 50 ppm: Very soft water, few minerals
• 50 - 150 ppm: Good quality drinking water
• 150 - 300 ppm: Moderate water, still safe to drink
• 300 - 400 ppm: Typical tap water, safe and drinkable, noticeable mineral taste
• 400 - 500 ppm: Mineral water range, still safe, stronger taste
• 500 ppm: Not recommended, too many dissolved solids; may taste unpleasant or be unsuitable for long-term daily consumption

Tip: Hydroponics and aquariums require different ideal TDS levels depending on plant or fish species. Many freshwater aquariums aim for 150–400 ppm.
